Dear Juniors,

I sit here at my computer trying to express in words how grateful I am to all of you that made the Western Regional a success. I am truly humbled by your willingness to serve and your dedication to get experience in the field into which you are going in to. I am truly honored to work alongside you all!
May I take this opportunity to congratulate our own Chef Peter Hodgson CEC for receiving the Western Regional Professional of the year, Chef Bernhard Gotz for Western Regional Chef of the year, And a hearty Congratulations to our Team Utah including their coach Chef Peter Sproul CEC for a well deserved 2nd place finish. I think that we have definitely shown the whole Western Region that the culinary schools here in Utah are a force to be reckoned with!!
I am truly proud of all of you, thank you for all your hard work in making this one of the Best Western Regionals ever. You all represented yourselves, your schools, and your instructors extremely well, be proud of that and that you belong to the best chapter in the Western Region, the Utah Beehive Chefs Association!!
I would ask that we take a few days to recuperate and then let us step up and help Chef Todd Leonard CEC, put on a spectacular evening that celebrates culinary excellence for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.
